When you give, we collect what a campaign must report by law: your name, mailing address, email, occupation and employer, the amount, the date and the committee. If you create a passport we keep those details and your giving history on Electy so you do not type them again. Your card number is entered into fields hosted by our bank partner and never reaches Electy's servers; we keep only the card brand and the last four digits.
We give each campaign the details it needs for its own filings and receipts. We use your passport to recognize you and prefill your details, with your consent on each gift. We do not sell or rent donor data. We do not send text messages. We do not use contributor data from public filings to solicit anyone.
A campaign sees the gifts made to that campaign, and the details required for its filings. It does not see your gifts to other campaigns.
Open your passport with Face ID or your device's unlock to see every gift, download receipts, cancel a monthly gift, or delete your passport. Deleting removes your passport from Electy; records a campaign is required by law to keep stay with that campaign.
The live map on our home page shows gift amounts by state and campaign only. It never shows names, cities, or exact times.
Card data is hosted by our bank partner. Electy's servers hold donor details and giving history over encrypted connections. PCI scope is being finalized with our bank partner before public launch.
